Facts you might need to know about Playford Village Hall
Anyone who hires the hall is responsible for ensuring that the following conditions are complied with under the Hall's Public Entertainment Licence:-
The number of persons in the hall at any one time shall not exceed:
All dancing or standing

All seated at tables

Mixed table and dancing

All seated for a concert 140 (Only 7 chairs on each side of the gangway )
The number of stewards on duty must be 2 adults stewards for up to 100 persons and a further steward for each additional 50 more people.
Additional stewards are required if the audience is mostly under 16 or there are many disabled people present.
Hall size
Main Hall 48 feet by 20 feet - 14.75 meters by 6.1 meters
Small Conference Room 25 feet by 12 feet - 7.6 meters by 3.7 meters
Committee Room 11 feet by 11 feet - 3.5 meters by 3.5 meters

6 Large Round 180 cm Diameter - seating eight people
4 Medium Round 152 cm Diameter - seating six people
15 Rectangular tables 150 cm x 75 cm - seating six or possible eight people
10 Square tables 85 cm x 85cm
Other tables available:
2 Rectangular Wooden Tables 180 cm x 80 cm in Committee Room
2 Half Round Tables 160 cm Diameter when together in Small Hall

Newer Stacking Chairs for weddings and birthday parties. Please do not use these for childrens parties or art classes. These chairs are locked but please ask if you would like to use them.

There are a few mixed glasses, several wine glasses and tumblers and quite a few pint glasses, but for parties we would recommend that you hire glasses from the supermarket or wine shop where you buy your wine and beer. There is also a small dishwasher which is very quick despite only holding a few items.
